A new range of iSCSI & Fibre Channel SAN solutions offering multi-terabyte virtual storage pools, powerful disk acceleration technology, simple Windows disk migration for SQL and Exchange users, and "point and click" disk capacity, which can be served over Ethernet/LAN or Fibre Channel to Microsoft, Linux, Solaris, AIX, Netware, VMware, MacOS and Unix systems

Snapshot and volume shadow copy services (VSS) simplify disk backup and recovery for SQL Server, Exchange 2003 and VSS aware systems.

Optional features allow you to fully manage and protect multiple terabytes of critical business data across different sites at a price that makes it practical for small to mid-size businesses to implement high-end, data centre class disaster recovery and business continuity solutions from scratch or to add low cost Mirrored Storage units to expensive proprietary storage units from IBM, EMC, HP and other major manufacturers

You can start with the basic package, then upgrade to advanced features when the need arises.

Scalability

HPs new High-density 2U Chassis has 12 Free hot pluggable storage bays which can be filled with 250Gb, 500Gb,750Gb or even 1Tb drives for a maximum of 10Tb per chassis. Additional Storage chassis sucha s the MSA 20 or 70 can be easily attached to the master unit or included in a SAN for unlimited storage volumes.

Reliability

RAID 5 or even RAID 6 to Survive 2 simultaneous Drive Failures.With the growth of disk array sizes, increasing disk densities and the introduction of Serial ATA (SATA) drives into the storage market, the likelihood for two concurrent failures is increasing. This is one of the first affordable solutions to offer this level of protection.

Redundancy

The Windows based operating system is on 2 mirrored Hot pluggable drives with a separate Flash Emergency repair disk, Fans, power supplies are redundant and hot swappable. A spare chassis can be held on site to provide a 15 minute recovery time in the event of a complete system failure simply by swapping the OS and Storage disks to the new chassis.

Compatibility

Compatible with any Application server operating system other than AS400 and frame, we offer tools to facilitate foolproof backup of Exchange and SQL databases. As a VMWare technology partner this product is optimised for VMware GSX and ESX server

Performance

Intels IOP333 RAID 6 engine, and Datacores unique RAM caching technology make this the fastest solution in it’s class, coming close to Fibre Channel performance using low cost SATA drives.
